FAQ

Can I send an original, negative or slide?
Yes, we can scan all of these. Plus they are returned back with your order.

Can I scan an image myself?
Yes, if you are scanning an image yourself do so at a resolution of 150 dpi or higher, ideally 300 dpi, and save as a jpeg file.

Can I email my image?
Yes, as a jpeg attachment which should be fine however some servers restrict the size of files which you can send. You can also upload your file to our own server. This can be found on our ordering page. Alternatively you can send us a cd, which if you have an excessively large file may be preferable.

In which format should I save my images?
Tiff or jpeg are best, however tiff files will be larger and therefore take longer to download.

Can you print Black & White images?
Yes, we often get asked to print black & white from colour images.

How do I notify you of a special requirement?
If you are using our upload service, simply fill in the special requirements box provided in the ordering section. If emailing or using our order form, specify your requirements and we will do our best to oblige.

What is meant by Stretched Canvas and Gallery Wrapped?
After the canvas is printed it can be put onto a wooden frame and pulled tight, this is referred to as being stretched. When you do the stretching you have the option of wrapping the image around the sides, this is referred to as being gallery wrapped.

You can order your canvas stretched or unstretched or stretched but not gallery wrapped in which case we will leave a white border around the edges. The latter option would be best if you intend to frame your canvas, but if you intend to display without additional framing go for the former. Remember if the image is wrapped around the sides you will effectively lose about 20mm of your image on each side.

Do you crop or retouch my image?
Unless asked we would not generally retouch your image. However if there was something which we felt could improve your image we would let you know.

In respect of cropping, this may occur when the print size ordered does not match the image size. If this was excessive we would contact you.

How long does your service take?
Generally 7 to 14 days, but if a quicker service is required please phone direct on 0208 3999881.

What methods of payment do you accept?
You can pay by cheque, postal order or use PayPal online. Alternatively we accept credit card payment by phone.
